Count Down: 19 days until love.JUJUBE's 1st Craft Show
at Openair Market @ Pokfulam
As planned, I have handmade some garland for the decoration of my craft booth at Openair Market.  I've added some doily and paper ornaments for it.  Recently, doily is such a big hit in handmade world!  (Of course, I've jumped into this craze already!)
Talked about garland, you gotta visit the Queen of Garland - Lobster and Swan via her flickr!

I love the tender baby blue crystals a lot.  Such that I handmade a simple loop to go with it!  I am thrilled to have my new tools today - file tools for polishing my silver /14K gold wire hoops.  Hopefully, I could have some new creations very very soon! :)

Today I energized myself with a cup of strong tea (from McDonalds... I am guilty to buy from it every time...) and kicked off the work!  I have made a lovely baby blue garland for the booth.  Hopefully it won't be teared off by the toddlers within 5 seconds :P
(Don't get me wrong, I love kids!  I made the garland to "seduce" them hahaha)

To-do List
1) Stock up - I am so fortunate of having sales these days.  On the other hand, I have to re-make sold jewellery for the show.
2) Decorations for my stall - of course we need some beautiful garland and stands for my "babies".
3) Price tags - the least I want to do... Math...
Sorry dear, no yummy dinner and perfect housewife for 25 days! :P

In return to Mr. Jujube's lovely bouquet, I have prepared a tasty candlelight dinner! Try this at home, it is easy and yummy.  I am sure you will amazed your better half :D

Recipe for Jujube's ribs (for 2 person)

Seasoned fresh ribs (about 1 pounds) with the following and leave it in the fridge for an hour to rest.
- 2 cloves of garlic (crushed with skin)
- lemon zest (1 lemon)
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- pepper and multi-purposed herbs
- dash of olive oil

Gravy
Mix ingredients for usage later.
- 1 lemon juice
- 1/2 stick of brown sugar ( I used Chinese 片糖 as it gives lovely fragrance taste. )
- dash of dark wine (e.g. Chinese cooking wine, red wine, scotch etc)

Cook the rib
Seal the ribs under high heat on a non-stick pan.  It takes about 1 minute.
In go 2 new cloves of garlic, slices of lemon (optional).
Pour in 1/2 of the prepared sauce (i.e. your gravy).
Cook the ribs (in pan with lit) and let the sauce simmered in low heat for 30 minutes.
Pick up ribs to rest at room temperature about 5 minutes (such that the ribs will be tender and juicy!)  Do not pour away the sauce at the pan.
On the other hand, turn on high heat, in go the left over 1/2 sauce to the pan.
Stir the sauce gently until thicken.  Season with salt and pepper (optional).  You gravy is ready to go.

Dinner served :)  Yummy!

A little note from Jujube
I did not intend to have my product details together with price posted at my blog.  I thought it is a place for me to share my joy of handmade with the others at my blog.  However, I did receive some of the lovely bloggers asked for details.  (FAQ, the price) I am thrilled as my work is appreciated.  Yet it can be a not-too-joyful work to do.  As I did have feedback that my jewelry is "expensive"... which upset me a bit.
Firstly, I have all jewelry handmade with good quality of gemstones and crystals.  In particular, ear wire, chain and wire, I imported from trustworthy suppliers in Hong Kong and US.  They are nickel free and with lead component meet safe standard.  It is important that you are not buying accessories which may simulate allergy and does harm to you.  Beauty is not that superficial :)

Different from some of the other Yahoo bloggers who sourced accessories (e.g. pendants, charms and chips) from China / Korea / Thailand and hooked them into ear wire and sold with a bargaining price, Jujube will not do that.  It is a promise to myself - I will handmade original art work and always enjoy!  (though it has been difficult sometimes)
